Two music videos, one featuring an old Volvo and another featuring an old Saab. Regrettably, the former is only available in laughably poor quality, and the latter is actually a slow motion shot of the car on fire. Probably my favorite band though! That poor Saab : (

I love Vampire Weekend! I was trying to explain to my non-petrol head girlfriend why Vampire Weekend burning those Saabs was a travesty, but she just couldn't understand :(

My girlfriend is an aspiring Saab owner, so she was understandably dismayed by the video haha

Ha I remember reading all those articles when the Saab incident happened. Part of me wants to read the comments on them, another part of me thinks it's a bad idea.

My favorite is definitely Oxford Comma, Mansard Roof, and Cape Cod Kwazza Kwazza. I love every song they've made, but nothing can top the intro tracks to their first album for me! And thats cool she likes Saabs! My girlfriend is a steadfast Honda owner, maybe one day I can sway her to the Swedish goodness of Volvo?

You'd love one of their live shows if you haven't seem them already. They do some of the most well thought out, perfectly paced set lists I've ever seen live. They spread stuff from all three albums throughout the show, so you get to jam to the new stuff, then an old favorite comes up and gets you. They keep the energy very high throughout, and it's generally a good time. Have to deal with a lot of ridiculous hipsters, but they're more amusing than anything else.

My GF was pretty apathetic about cars when we first started dating, so I'm sure there's hope of converting yours to your Swedish ways!

Seen them twice now, I love them. When my fiancee first started talking about them I thought they were some kind of death metal band by the name, then she threw the record on and I was hooked. Now it's our little inside joke, to call them our favorite death metal band. Like I said, I love 'em but come on guys, not the Saab!
